SCIENTIFIC NAME :-      Draco Volans 

OCCURRENCE :-             Philippines to Malaysia and Indonesia

HABITAT :-                    Rain forest , Rubber plantation

SIZE :-                           Length 19 to 22 cm

FAMILY :-                      Agamidae

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS :-

1. It is an arboreal lizard with long thin tail , triangular shaped head and long legs.
2. Between the front and hind limbs on each side of the body are present large flaps of skin supported by extended movable ribs which help it to glide horizontally for short distances.
3. It feeds on insect particularly.
4. Breeding takes place on the ground.
5. The female lays 1-4 eggs in the soil and buries them.
