HABITAT :- Dry inland country , Coastal forest
SIZE :- Length 46 cm

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS :-
- Limbless and snake-like , this lizard has scaly flap-like hind limbs each containing tiny leg bones and fore toes which are normally held close to the body but are raised when disturbed and alarmed.
- It has a rounded snout , fused eyelids and an extremely long tail.
- It can draw its head back and hiss like a snake.
- It emerges at night or dusk to feed on insects and small lizards.
- The female lays 2 eggs.
